Eastern Kentucky lost to Evansville, 4-0, in the series opener on Friday at Turkey Hughes Field. Evansville (10-10) took a 2-0 lead in the top of the fourth on a two-run home run by Travis Tokarek. A ground ball by Korbin Williams in the fifth was enough to score a run and give the Purple Aces a 3-0 advantage.

After 26 combined hits, eight total errors and 11 walks between the two pitching staffs, it was a sacrifice fly that ultimately propelled the Morehead State baseball team to a 12-11 victory over Belmont at Allen Field Friday evening.
