A game tying single in the bottom of the eighth helped Jeffersontown force a ninth inning, but the Wildcats would respond with five-runs to take the road victory on Tuesday night.

The Chargers' jumped out to a 1-0 lead after one inning of play, and would double the lead on an RBI by Metry in the bottom of half of the third.

J-Town left the bases loaded in the bottom of the fourth, something that would come back to haunt them.

On the bump for the Chargers was Morley who dealt five scoreless innings before allowing his first run in the top of the sixth.

Jeffersontown took a 2-1 lead into the top of the seventh where Waggener would benefit from two Charger errors to take a 3-2 lead. J-Town's Metry would come through with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh to even things up at three.

After the Wildcats took a 4-3 lead in the top of the eighth, again the Chargers rallied for a comeback, as Muerer singled in Schoeff to tie the game at 4. The five-run top of the ninth was too much for the Chargers to overcome and J-Town fell to 6-3 on the season. They will travel to Fort Walton Beach for five games during Spring Break. Waggener improves to 5-6 and will host North Bullitt tomorrow at 5 PM.
