Male improved to 7-2 after a win by the very same difference. The Bulldogs sent 10 batters to the plate in a fifth inning that busted the game open for Male at Derby City Field on Wednesday night.

Neal Hancock got the Dogs on the board in the top of the first, delivering a two-out single that drove in Andrew Dodd. Male would double their advantage with a leadoff solo-shot that disappeared over the left-center field wall courtesy of John Ullom.

Trailing 3-0 in the third, the Crimson benefited from a pair of Male errors along with four hits to cut the lead to one.

However, that's as close as the Crimson would get.

The fifth inning scoring barrage got going with senior short-stop, Slat Robinson sending a frozen-rope into left field for an RBI. With the bases loaded and no-one out, Hogan Brownley deposited a two-run single into left to extend the Bulldog lead to four at 6-2.  Will Seewer came through with a one-out line drive single to bring in the seventh run of the game for Male.

The Crimson fall to 6-6 and will travel to the ESPN Wide World of Sports at Disney next week, while Male heads to Myrtle Beach.
