Kentucky Wesleyan Sweeps Double Header To Take Series
The Kentucky Wesleyan baseball team won both games at home against Ohio Valley on Saturday afternoon in Great Midwest Athletic Conference play. The Panthers improve their overall record on the season to (12-10, 3-1 G-MAC). The Panthers won the first contest by a score of 19-8, and also won the second game 5-3. Kentucky Wesleyan also took three out of four games from the Fighting Scots this weekend in the series.
Kentucky Wesleyan used two innings in the first game where they piled in 17 of their 19 runs scored. The Panthers scored seven runs in the first, and later added 10 runs in the fourth, as they once lead 19-0 in the contest.
Transy Drops Both Games on Saturday
Transylvania moves to 6-10 overall, and 1-2 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play after the weekend.
The Pioneers return home for Easter Sunday before a quick journey up the road to Florence, Kentucky at UC Health Stadium to face conference foe Mount St. Joseph on Tuesday, March 29. The pitch is set for 4:30 p.m.
Spalding Pours on the Runs versus Principia College
ELSAH, Ill. – The Spalding University baseball team used an offensive outburst to take both games of a double-header and complete the series sweep over Principia College, 18-1 and 13-0. The wins improve the Golden Eagles overall record to 12-7, with a 4-2 mark in the SLIAC. The loss drops the Panthers to 4-12 on the year and 0-3 in conference play. The first game saw Aaron Mitchell (3-1) pick the win, while Aleq McMullin (2-1) was credited with the loss. In the second game, Jimi Keating(3-2) earned the win, while Hunter Mehring (1-1) was tagged for the loss.

MSC Baseball Player of the Week
Victor Nazario – Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) – Sr. – Outfielder – Sabana Grande, Puerto Rico
- In three appearances last week, Nazario went 7-for-10 at the plate as he helped the Blue Raiders a record of 3-1 last week.
- Along with hitting .700 for the week, he also had a slugging percentage of 1.200 and drove in three runs.
- In his first appearance against Cumberlands, Nazario went 4-for-4 at the plate with a pair of doubles and a triple. In the 7-4 victory, he also scored once and had one RBI.
- In an 11-10 victory against the Patriots, he went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Nazario also scored once more in the game.
- The Blue Raiders are 25-10 on the season and they are 7-2 in Mid-South play.
- Nazario earns his first player of the week honor and first of his career.
Number 8 Lindsey-Wilson Stays Atop the Mid South Conference
Lindsey Wilson remains atop the Mid-South Conference standings with a record of 7-2 as they completed the weekend sweep of Cumberlands. Pikeville (Ky.) is a game behind the Blue Raiders as they sit at 6-3 in the conference.
Next up for Lindsey Wilson is a non-conference matchup against Indiana Southeast on Tuesday evening at 5 p.m. CT at Egnew Park.
Georgetown Splits With Campbellsville
After a heartbreaking extra-inning loss in game one, Georgetown battled back to win game two on Saturday by a final score of 4-2.
